Outrank Your Competition With These 5 SEO Tips

For the beginning Webmaster, Search Engine Optimization is something only highly skilled people can do. As a Guaranteed Houston SEO, I believe part of this misunderstanding is because of all the misinformation spouted out by scores of people calling their self SEO experts. For some, this is because they don’t have any idea what they’re talking about while some others do it to justify the ongoing fees they charge their Clients. SE Optimization isn’t rocket science my good friend. It’s as simple as optimizing your website with a few keywords to tell the search engines what your Website is about. Make it easy for the search eninges to determine what your site is about and show them your site is relevant to the term being searched for and they will reward you with higher rankings.
First up, the Webmaster should make certain your main keywords are used in the web address if it’s possible. With everything being equal, a site with your keywords in the domain name will rank higher than one without the keywords in the domain name.
Next, the keyword or keyword phrase should be added in the Title of your Website. What this does is help the search engines determine what it is that you Website is all about.
It’s important to make certain keywords are a part of the Title of every page on your site, or at least, some parts of a keyword phrase should be in the page Title. This also helps the search engines determine what the page is about, what words to rank it for and how relevant it is. Plus, the Website or Blog should be designed so that the Page Title is in the H1 tag. Search engines give a lot of value to the H1 tag and so it’s important in good SEO practices. If your web designer does not know how to do this, fire them and find one that understands SEO.
You should now have those three things taken care of. Now that you do, it is crucial that the keywords you want to rank for show up within the page itself. I like to use them at least once in the first paragraph and once or twice more in the article somewhere, especially near the end of the page. A few more times between the first and last paragraph can’t hurt but don’t over do it, in summary, just make sure you use them in the first part of the page and again at the end.
Finally, probably the most important thing of Search Engine Optimization actually takes place off your Website. In my opinion, the most important thing in getting higher ranks for a Website is backlinks going back to your Web page. And it’s not enough to just get backlinks, these backward links need to have your keywords as the Anchor text of the links back to your site.
How important are backlinks? Well, I can rank a website that doesn’t have the keywords in the domain, one that doesn’t have keywords in the Website Title, Page Title and in the Content (although it’s much, much harder to do), but without targeted links back to your site pointing to the website, {it’s nearly impossible} to to get higher rankings in the search engines for any search terms that are the least bit in demand.
